Value list notification

Question

Hi, 
 Is there a way to have notification of new value-added to a value list? 
 For example, I can create a Notification setting from the M-Files Client for a new object that was created.

One additional final option would be to use an event handler to react when the value list item is created. There's one for AfterCreateNewValueListItem, for example ( Available Event Handlers (m-files.com) ). You could then use script to send a custom notification.

Not directly: value lists are considered a part of the vault structure and notifications are only triggered by object-related actions in the vault, not changes in the structure. If there's a specific critical value list that you need to keep notified about, consider converting it into an object type so that you can set up a notification rule for new objects.
