'm-files://view/...' link in a SharePoint Online page

Can I embed an 'm-files://view/...' link into a SharePoint Online page? We want users to see the name of the file, and when they click the link the file opens in the native format application (Word, Excel, PDF).

If the users are internal and have access to the M-Files vault, you can use the 'm-files://view/...' feature. However, SharePoint might not recognize other link protocols other than http so you might need to create a working URL for that. The simple way is to add 'https://openurl.m-files.com/2.1/?' in front of the "m-files://..." link. Also remember that you share the file on the vault and not the copy of it so make sure the permission rights are correct to avoid any unwanted edits. If it's for external users, you must use "Share Public link" feature so a user can download the file.
