M-Files Desktop - View containing files without Workflow/state

Hello everyone,

There was an old topic where asked if there was a way to display files that were not concerned by a Workflow or state.

Unfortunately, the only solution that was proposed (by M-Files Community) was to:

- Add a new automatic value text property to your document classes, e.g. Workflow (Admin only)
- Automatic values > Simple concatenating of properties > %PROPERTY_38% (ID 38 = Workflow)
- Hide this property from normal users

I think we all agree that this is not a sustainable solution. Was there anything developped since then to fix this ?

    Hi there, 

    How about creating a view that filters objects that have a workflow, but also the workflow state is empy? 

    This can be achieved with Additional conditions -> Properties. 

    Note that this is just an example, which lists items that have a workflow set, but the workflow state is not set. 

    These can be easily played around to do the correct way of filtering you want.
