Button/Link to show external documentation

Hi all,

We have external documentation about our project and certain use cases we have implemented in M-Files. The main idea is to show button/link to that external documentation in M-Files client.

I've done some readings and I the Command approach could be suitable. Having button in Task pane or perhaps drop down in under username (right-up corner) would be a good and acceptable solution (right menu click would work but could we use right-up corner!?). However, I am not sure how to open documentation's link in the browser as this would be ShellFrame. Is it possible somehow? Or do I need to use dashboard?

One option would be to add a link to the metadata card header which supports normal HTML link tags, no coding needed.

How have you referenced that icon?

Can you share me MD card rule?

Here is the rule. Try using single quotes in the tag (and angle brackets obviously). The image is in this case base64-encoded but it could be also fetched from a web server, see the metadata card configuration guide for all the possibilities.

Ok, the problem was double quotes, with simple quotes it works well.

Can I somehow increase size of text in description?

Thanks. Manage to use it fetched from web server. Hope this will be sufficient solution as it is really nice and easy to setup. Will discuss it in more details in evening.

Do you know however is it possible to execute URL in some way? From the button from Task pane perhaps?

Text HTML entries work but I would like to change the font if possible in description, to use more solid font. I couldn't find an option for that.

I believe those elements mentioned in the guide are the only ones currently supported.
