Hello,

Thank you,
The user can change the default in MF Desktop Settings, User-specific Settings, Behavior at file close, select Check in immediately. That should come reasonably close to your wishes and at the same time keep e.g. a new word document open as long as the user has it open on his computer. It may be better to look at Computer-specific Settings, Miscellaneous where you can set the default for different applications. It might be relevant to do immediate check-in when saving from Adobe Acrobat Reader but perhaps not when saving from Excel or Word?
I am not aware of settings that can be managed directly from Admin.
At least there is a Setting for Multi File Documents in Advanced Vault Settings:
Yeah I've already seen that, but it does not meet our customer's need.
It seems that there's no possibility to manage this kind of settings...
When copying a document from outside to the vault it suggests immediate checkin, only when you create a document and select a file type (e.g. docx) it suggests editing, question is why you would create an empty word file without editing it?
It's a request from our customer, they need to create the file immediately and to have the ability to edit them afterwards. The use case is specific for one of our customer.
Maybe you could do the check-in with an event handler but im not sure in this..
I have a similar case. My customer wants to check-in the document immediately when he creates new document from template. Any idea?
Top. Thanks for this improvment and for your reply to my subject.
This still doesn't apply when creating a document with Object Creator Create Rule..?
