E-mail settings (SMTP) for VB or Vault Application

Question

Hello everybody, 
 do you know a way to use the smtp settings from the M-Files Admin for VB scripts or VaultApplications. I couldn't find any function in the API.

Hi Jannik, 
 The SMTP settings for notifications are not exposed via the API. 
 Whilst there are some limitations, you can send some emails via the API directly (e.g. M-Files API - VaultNotificationOperations Object ), or within a vault application you may look at the email functionality exposed by the VAF Extensions library ( VAF.Extensions.Community/MFiles.VAF.Extensions/Email at master &middot; M-Files/VAF.Extensions.Community (github.com) ), although with that latter option your administrator will still have to enter their mail server credentials a second time.
