External Source - Microsoft Exchange

Hello!

I tried to replace the external source via POP3 with the modern Microsoft Exchange Online connector. The documentation from M-Files is good and i set it up like this site:

Azure Portal Configuration for Microsoft Exchange Online as External Mail Source (force.com)

When i try to save the settings i get an error, that the silent authentication failed. Does anybody knows this problem?

This may be due to the lack of TLS 1.2 support on the M-Files server. Microsoft is requiring TLS 1.2 for the connections. Please see this support article for further information: Azure AD TLS 1.0 and 1.1 Error

Hi Joonas, i got the same error but managed to upgrade TLS to 1.2 and one problem i could possibly see happening is the limitation of Client Secret. Microsoft says per this article that due to security reason they limited the timespan of it to max 2 years: https://devblogs.microsoft.com/microsoft365dev/client-secret-expiration-now-limited-to-a-maximum-of-two-years/

Is there any better way of implementation for external mail sources that wouldnt require ocuring tasks of changing the client secret every so often? Any news of 2FA implementation maybe for Office sources? Thanks
