No Access to Network Folder Connector Share with non-admin users

Dear M-Files Community

We've recently configured the network folder connector for a client with the help of the m-files documentation. We are able to see all documents within the external view with our Vault Admin User, "normal" users on the other hand receive an error "No access to the folder with the ID XYZ" upon opening the location (normal users are able to see the location / identity but somehow are not permitted to navigate into the subfolders).

Windows Event log shows the same error "Not found. (No access to the folder with the ID "D:XYZ".)".

Did anyone already ran into this problem and knows how to solve it or where to start looking for the faulty configuration?

Many thanks in advance for your support and kind regards,

Thomas
