Checkbox to auto checked in Word document

Question

Hi everyone,

I have this checkbox in the metadata card and would like to link that to my checkbox in word.

Normally, for any othe properties, we can just insert property in Word.

However, if I have a checkbox in Word, is there a way I can somehow "insert property" the value from the metadata card ? Meaning to say, if I filled in the checkboxes, I want my checkboxes in my word document to have the same result.

Does this require some scripting ? Any idea where can I find more details on this ?

 Check boxes are just an alternative way to configure the user interface for standard multi-select or boolean properties in M-Files. You can insert the property in your Word document just like any other M-Files property. The tricky part is to get the desired format in Word. This is not something you can control from M-Files. It depends entirely on Word features. There is an option to use if - then - else formatting. This would allow you to define exactly what you want to show in Word if a boolean property in M-Files is True, False or empty. There are plenty of web sites that explain how this can be done. It can be a bit tricky at first, but once you learn those tricks it is quite possible to get it just the way you want.
