Could somebody gives us some help for the vault structure export and import in cloud environment?
We tried to copy a structure from a vault to another but I don’t understand how it works exactly.
The use case is:
When we create a test vault for our customer and they tested, we create a new vault from the test to the live vault via Content Replication and Archiving - structure export and import. It is works properly first time.
Now, we created a second package of M-Files documents, object, properties and workflows in the test vault.
After the test phase, we need to copy the vault structure from the test to the live vault.
It is ok, it is a Content Replication and Archiving. But in the cloud environment we could not:
- see the Summary of the package content to be imported – we could not check how it works
- make a backup before we do the one time imnport (or after reload a backup)
So our question is how we could make a good process for the content replication between two cloud vaults?
We tried to export and import cloud vaults structure into a different vault. The result is not too optimistic. Some properties did not import, some documents properties were not placed correctly and many small problem occurred. It is not reassuring.
