Date settings

You can set it with Metadata Card Configuration in M-Files Admin Panel, set the value of your date property to:

{Today()}

I had a weird problem with date static value with metadata card rule. It worked well and has stuck on some old date (date has not match current date). Then we wanted to get rid of it. Changing rule (removing set date part) has not helped. Somehow date (old one) was still cached somewhere and have applied on all new documents. I have end up deleting metadata and creating fresh new metadata. Still don't know what happened, just thought to share weird experience. Hope you don't get to this problem

Surprised to read "static" in your description. It should be configured as Dynamic....

You are right, it was dynamic with that specific function.
