Managed properties

Hi all,

Recently there have been questions if I can change how the Authors function on Projects work. Currently it is set that the Author of the document is added automatically and is the person who created the document - naturally. This is set in the Configuration as follows. Please see Images 1 and 3 (it got mixed up sorry).

Now what I've been asked to do is also add the Project Manager as the Author alongside the one who created it. So the end result would be 2 authors, the project manager and the person who created the document. Now I've tried playing around in Configurations and I have come close to the conclusion but I can't figure out the last steps. Currently as I set it, it OVERWRITES the author and sets only the project manager as the author, but i'm trying to ADD another author not overwrite the existing one. See Image 2 for my configuration of this.

Would this be possible to do?

Hi Žan,

I was thinking about this problem for a while and I couldn’t come up with an easy solution through compliance kit either. If anyone has that solution I would like to know it too.

Anyway, the only solution I have in mind is through using scripts. For example:
1) You would create 2 new properties (that can be hidden if you want), in which you would have the current user and the project manager respectively That you can do via compliance kit.
2) You would create a script on the original property that you are using right now. That script would just take two lookups and put them into that property as an output.

If you have no experience with scripting in M-Files then this will be really hard for you to implement. All I can do is recommend you these sites:
