When you are installing M-Color license server for the first time or migrating your M-Color license server on a new server, please follow the steps below:
- Install M-Color license server component on the server that will act as the new M-Color license server
- You can download the latest version of M-Color (9.9) from: here
- If required, you can find download links to older versions of M-Color from: here
- Request a license code that matches your version of M-Color and fingerprint of the new license server. (Note: you also need to request for a new license code when migrating existing license server on a new server machine because when computer fingerprint and/or M-Color's version (eg. 9.8, 9.9) changes, you need a new license code)
- Run M-Color's Request License Code wizard > fill your contact information and other details to wizard > in last step select 'Request license code by email or fax' option
- Send the generated code request file by email to our license management: m-color@m-color.com
- License code requests are typically handled within 24 hours (Monday to Friday).
- Once you receive a license code you can activate it on the new license server
- When migrating on a new server machine: if your old license server is still running after you've installed the license code on your new license server, you need to uninstall or deactivate the old license server so that there is only one active license server in your network
