Interactive PDF Forms - automated check-in

Users can change the file close behavior for instance to ask whether the document should be checked in or not, but the same behavior applies to all file formats: User-specific Settings

We already set the user-specific settings to automatically check-in the document. It works for all PDF's expect the ones with interactive form fields. In this case, it does not work. Maybe a bug?

It could be. I suggest raising this with our support team if you haven't already done so.

If I recall right, the fillable PDF files do not have any kind of "save" feature, only "Print". This means that the text remains on the PDF just as long until you close it, as the document itself does not have a way to save the text inside the boxes to be filled. Therefore, as M-Files is just a storage location in this case, the changes do not get saved. The user should print (as pdf)  the filled out document and then to save it to the document vault.
