I would suggest you always check that first :) The M-Files User Guide is not any other software user guide; it has a lot of helpful content.

We are using an older version (2015.3), I hope that these procedures are applicable.

On the other note, currently size of data file is close to 2 Tb, do you know if this process will work, are there any size limitations?  My assumption is data copy will take a long time.

You can change the user guide version from the "language selection" option to match some older software versions if there are some changes. 

Just be aware that moving such an amount of data will take a LONG time. 

It is practically impossible to predict how long, as it depends on the hardware the system is running on. 

And as always, make a working backup before making changes. (make sure the backup actually is restorable)
