The new M-Files Desktop delivers a modern, streamlined interface designed to boost your daily productivity. It offers a consistent and intuitive user experience across all platforms. The new M-Files Desktop is the primary focus for all future features and is the recommended client moving forward. Please note that the new desktop exclusively supports the gRPC protocol.

For self-hosted environments, switching to gRPC is required to use the new M-Files Desktop.
If you're using M-Files Cloud, no action is needed—you're already set to go.

M-Files Hubshare | Upcoming Infrastructure Update – New Virtual Machines and IP Addresses (Sept–Nov 2025)

We will be releasing a new version of M-Files Hubshare between September and November 2025. This release will involve the decommissioning of our current virtual machines and the deployment of new instances hosted in Microsoft Azure across multiple regions. ️ Read more
