The new M-Files Desktop is now the main client for all future updates and enhancements. It offers a faster, more intuitive experience. Already enabled for cloud customers, on-premises users can follow How to Transition to the New M-Files Desktop to get started.

New M-Files Desktop and Web Highlights:

New Task Bar: A sleek, always-visible bar for quick actions like Pin, Copy Link, and Check In — now with support for vault and custom app actions.
Enhanced Views: Easily adjust grouping levels and set permissions for better organization and control.
Improved Co-Authoring: “Make Copy” and “Download” now always include the latest changes, and Microsoft 365 access setup is simpler than ever.

Native Microsoft 365 Desktop Co-Authoring

Desktop co-authoring in M-Files is included in the M-Files Business platform subscription using M-Files Cloud at no extra cost. All you need to do is activate it in your environment. ️ Activate desktop co-authoring in your Microsoft 365 environment
