SAML 2.0 authentication in M-Files was originally deprecated in December 2020, and has not officially been supported since.
Starting with the M-Files Online May 2026 release, we are finally disabling the feature also from the codebase.
If you are still using SAML 2.0 for any authentication purposes, please upgrade to a supported authentication method before upgrading to M-Files 26.5.
Cloud customers: The M-Files Online 26.5. maintenance break is on May 17th. Please upgrade any possible SAML 2.0 authentications before that date to a supported authentication method. If you are unable to complete the transition before that date, please contact M-Files Support Portal or your M-Files representative at your earliest convenience.
