We're excited to announce the upcoming release of Hubshare (v5.0.14) in March 2025. Today, we're thrilled to share the details of what's new in this version!
Main changes and improvements
Enhanced Functionality for M-Files Document Collections
Core Changes:
- The correct document version is now displayed, ensuring users see the intended version rather than the latest one.
- Users can now download a document collection, which generates a zip file containing the correct documents and versions.
- Objects in a document collection that are not the latest version are now in read-only mode.
Benefits for End-Users: These enhancements ensure that users have access to the correct versions of documents, improving accuracy and reliability. The ability to download document collections as zip files streamlines the process of accessing multiple documents, saving time and effort. The read-only mode for non-latest versions prevents unintended modifications, maintaining document integrity.
New File Index Download Option in Widgets
- Introduction of a new option to generate and download a File Index (CSV file), which involves browsing the target content asynchronously in the background. Once generated, the file is downloadable by the end-user.
- This feature is exclusively accessible through the Views widget.
- It is particularly beneficial for Data Room use cases, allowing users to list every document, folder, and their indexes.
- File Index can be generated by right-clicking on a View, a Virtual folder, or at the root level of the widget.

Other improvements
Creator Widget: Automatically add file names as title
- Addressed the issue where the option 'one object for each file' did not add the file name as the title. Now, file names are automatically added as titles in both 'one object for each file' and 'one object contains all files' options.
Improved Stability for Document Viewer
- Acknowledged feedback and apologized for recurring outages with the document viewer in cloud production servers.
- Conducted thorough analysis of logs and traces.
- Implemented an automatic healing mechanism to address occasional crashes of the viewer service.
