Welcome to M-Files Hubshare May 2025 Product Update,
We are always committed to enhancing our platform to provide the best user experience possible. Now, we are thrilled to introduce our most recent updates, which were rolled out in May.
M-Files Hubshare Release
Hubshare (v5.0.16) in May 2025 is one of the last, if not the last, version of the current Hubshare product you are used to us. Please check my previous announcement to know more about the next major breaking change to come in September: New M-Files Hubshare version is coming in September 2025
This is also why this version of May comes with limited number of items and changes, most of our engineering forces being focused on the next major deliverable.
Improvements
Improved Availability of the "Copy Link" Option in M-Files Widgets
Over a year ago, we introduced the Copy Link feature in the M-Files Widgets. This functionality allows end-users to generate and copy a direct link to a document or object, which redirects to the corresponding item within the specified widget. These links can then be easily shared with others.
However, this option wasn’t consistently available across all scenarios. In particular, when using the M-Files Views widget, the feature was rarely accessible due to technical limitations.
With the upcoming version of Hubshare, we’ve significantly improved the availability of the Copy Link option. It is now supported in a much broader range of use cases, including within the Views widget. This enhancement ensures a more consistent and seamless experience when sharing content across the product.
Defect fixes
We also took this opportunity to address and resolve several recently reported issues related to the Export and Import functionality.
