We're excited to announce the upcoming release of Hubshare (v5.0.10) in November 2024. Today, we're thrilled to share the details of what's new in this version!
Major changes and improvements
Federated authentication becoming possible via the Client Credential flow
Client credential flow mainly consists in offering a federated authentication via the API for Hubshare. It will mainly benefit to the M-Files Plugin for Hubshare to enhance the authentication system between the plugin and Hubshare. The next official version of the plugin released in end of December will come with new options to use this Federated Authentication. Please read the next product update to get all the insights.
M-Files Views widget now allows to search in sub views and virtual folders
We are happy to announce this important improvement allowing the end-users to search not only in the current view but also in sub views and virtual folders. It has been requested numerous of times by our customers and it will benefit too many use cases.

Other improvements
Various improvements in the Hub message configuration dialog and Hub message rendering
Hub message rendering was unconsistent and error prone. We redesigned the configuration dialog too.
Symbols not recognized during metadata filtering (gRPC)
Usage of symbols like + are not recognized in metadata filtering, especially when using prefill values like email address.
Add docm file extension support in the file preview
Allows .docm files to be rendered in the file preview in Hubshare.
