Daily backup of M-Files, MS SQL (80GB), and vault contents (40GB), best practice.

I have read the documentation. We are performing daily backups of the MS SQL database and the INDEX files.
In the instructions, as far as I understand, it is stated that the vault should be set to offline mode before the index backup.
We are running an M-Files Server + MS SQL Server - Option 2 installation.
My question is: how can we automatically set the vault to offline mode with a script for automated nightly backups?
