Set Value = Empty Values Force Set Yes not working

Hi,

I am trying to use the Set Value = Empty value on a rule to remove the value of a property that has changed.

So the process is,

Scenario 1:  If Property 1 = Yes, Property 2 is unhidden.

Scenario 2:  If property 1 is No, Property 2 is hidden.

This all works nicely.  The issue is, when you select a value for the property, so scenario 1, then decide to change your mind and you realised that you do not need property 2 on the metadata card so go with scenario 2, although the rule kicks in and hides property 2, the value that you have selected still remains.  So if you unhide it, you can sill see what you wrote or selected.

I have used a sub rule for each rule that hides and unhides, to say if Property 1 is no,  Set Value - Empty Value, Force Set Value = yes on property 2, but it is not working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tony

  • Hi Tony, are the additional sub-rules listed after the initial sub-rule, or do they come under the one sub-rule (sub-sub rules Slight smile)
Can you post a screenshot of your configuration? If one sub-rule is dependent on another then it should be listed after the initial sub-rule (if it is not listed under that sub-rule itself).
I remember I had the same issue before.
