New Desktop Bugs and Missing Features

Just been trying to live life in New Desktop for the day and I've run into a few areas where we aren't at feature parity...

  1. It appears that new desktop has a bug where mandatory class fields will allow a user to click an "X" and remove them from the class. This is the case even if the user explicitly does not have permission to edit the property (I have a property added to an object which does not have the "edit values of this property" box ticked for any user or group, and I can still see the option to remove the property in new desktop - obviously not the case in old desktop). I'm only seeing this on properties of type "Number (real)", and not on "Choose from list" properties, even if they have the same permissions.
  2. if you have a hierarchy of objects (e.g., "A" has a child "B" has a child "C") and you expand an object of type "A" in old desktop you would see a "B" folder you can expand, and there would be a "Create new B" prompt - this functionality doesn't exist in new desktop (no such prompt appears, and the "B" folder doesn't appear until you create the first "B" type object under an "A" type object
  3. When a modal popup appears (such as a "Do you want to autofill the following metadata..." the modal popup doesn't consume keypresses (as a result if you press the spacebar, which would normally trigger the modal popup default action "OK", it will actually edit the background text field on the metadata card that triggered the modal popup - leading to text being replaced by a space)
  4. When you drag and drop an object into the new desktop it pops up the "Create Document" modal, but it doesn't take focus in windows, so although the cursor is showing flashing in the "class" field typing doesn't have any effect until the user clicks on the field to properly gain focus.
  5. New Desktop doesn't respect user date preferences - system date format is set as dd-MMM-yyyy, but in new desktop we get dd-mm-yy. Changing web browser (default browser OR edge) did not impact this setting.

Is there a better way to report bugs with new desktop as there seem to be quite a few areas where improvements are required to get us to a similar level as existing desktop, and if we're on a time limit it would be great if there was a more direct way to report these issues. Updated 10th Feb with 3 more bugs.
