Advanced notification options

Hi M-Files and community,

I am currently playing around with Advanced notifications from M-Files Compliance Kit (we use currently 20.10.911.3 version). Setup worked quite well without many problems.

Now, I am trying to setup notification rule which should trigger when document is created (basically Created -> Draft state transition). Somehow I can not get an e-mail.

We have used so far notifications in workflow and have used user accounts metadata-based as recipients. This has worked well.

In notification rule, I've tried the same approach, using metadata-based recipients, also tried external e-mail address but no e-mail has been sent. I also tried to remove transition and to send mail for each and every document type (class) but also miss notifications.

Here is my setup:

Do you have an idea what could be a problem or if I misunderstand something?

Thanks.

  • Hi Bruno,

Sounds interesting. Not quite sure if it helps in my case.

In my cases, I have a specific workflow state (let's say Draft) and depending of transition I would need to send different e-mail. So one mail, in case when someone creates a document (Created -> Draft), I should send an e-mail to all authors let's say. Also if one of authors add more authors (metadata-based), those new authors should get an e-mail as well that there is a document for them (basically on change no workflow transition).

Another case is, if someone moves document from Review state to Draft another mail should be sent, with other content. This would depend on workflow transition, not on workflow state.

Would you support something like that?

    Thanks.
