Insert property in Excel Header

Hello,

One of our client is using Excel headers for their template and they want to add some M-Files properties in there but I cannot find a way to do that since the headers behave differently from a normal cell.

If I try to insert using the M-Files add-in I get an error "Excel is busy". And copying the formula from a cell isn't working either. All I could find on the subject is a 9 years old forums post with the conclusion by the support that it's a known bug. Is there any way workaround or solution?

Thanks

  • It looks like this isn't possible using our current approach.  According to our internal tracker Excel doesn't support custom properties in headers/footers (or: I guess, it did not when this tracker item was last updated).  I have added your company details to the tracker item and linked to this discussion for additional context, but this is likely not something that can be achieved easily.
