I have started using the new desktop and I like some of the features. I did an export today to manipulate some metadata properties and noticed that the name of the document varies between these two interfaces.
In the new desktop, the item name adds a .pdf to the end and the same does not happen in the traditional desktop app.

This is making my word harder with the manipulation as my original results were exported from the traditional do not have the file extension. According to the property definition, the name of these items is the same of the supplier. (records in blue below were exported today from the new desktop)
This is not right. Should I raise a ticket with support?
