Hi all,
is it possibile in the new Desktop cliente to add filter Tabs per Class as it was possible in the old cliente with M-Files View Extensions? I only see it per object in the new cliente.
Hi all,

If you mean that a workspace tab should display only documents of a specific class, then yes, this is possible. In fact, the filter shown in your screenshot should already do this.
The text highlighted in yellow simply indicates that the same tab will be available in all workspaces for this object type (Pratica).
If no items appear in the tab, verify that there are documents of the specified class that reference the workspace object (2026.M_IVA – …). If no such documents exist, the tab will be of course empty.
Or he means class grouping level, which already was mentioned a few times and hopefully will be added.. M-Files team should look at the old view extensions addon again what functionality it had back in the day and should target at least feature parity
Thank you for the answers and additions.
Yes exactly, I’m looking for what sweise says. I’m trying to describe it more precisely.
For example: I have class M_IVA , class CERT_U and so on.. These classes all have the same object type.
In the old client with the View Extensions Addon we were able to create these tabs based on classes rather then objects.
In my view, that makes more sense, since the class is what actually defines what the object is. The same object with a different class can be totally different; therefore, there is also a need for different tabs.
As sweise says not implementing this funtionality would feel like a huge downgrade/step backward.

Thanks for the clarification! I'll submit this as a product insight for our development team so they can consider relevant enhancements. Workspaces is still under active development and receiving new capabilities in future releases.
Thank you Joonas
