Automatic Property to Check Linked Documents

Hi!
Is it possible to create a Boolean or text property with automatic values using VBScript or a Vault Application to check whether an object has linked documents? If yes, set the property to “Yes”; if not, set it to “No”.
Or is there another way to achieve this?

Should be possible with Compliance Kit (Managed Properties, Auto Calculated Properties), maybe in addition with Property Calculator.. Both free addons.. You need to create a Managed Property Rule to collect the linked documents on the main object, then you can check if this managed property is empty and of not set your boolean property.. Please correct me, if there is a more easy way..
