Hi M-Files Community and Team,
We're proposing an MCP Server as an open standard enabling AI agents to automatically discover and interact with M-Files without custom coding.
An MCP Server would enhance integrations with AI tools (e.g., for contract summaries or compliance checks).
- Are there plans for this?
- If on the roadmap, any timelines?
- If not, could user feedback prioritize it?
As a long-time M-Files user in a mid-sized firm, we've so-far relied on your REST API for efficient document management and workflows.
Adding MCP would amplify M-Files' value in the AI era, offering plug-and-play links to external platforms for workflows like metadata enrichment or report generation. This would make M-Files more appealing to AI-adopting enterprises while enhancing those tools with EIM access - a mutual win. Even with Aino's internal strengths, MCP could foster external innovations and loyalty.
What do you think? Anyone using AI workarounds or supporting this?
Thanks - M-Files is great, and this could elevate it!
Best, Kevin
