Is it possible to send a notifications to file creator via Email when a comment is added to a file in M-Files?

This should be achievable by setting up a notification rule with the following filters:

• Created by = (current user) – this ensures the notification is sent to the document's creator
• Comment is not empty – since comments are version‑specific, the rule will only trigger when a comment is added to the latest version

For the recipient group, you can select "All internal users" (or a similar group), depending on who should receive these notifications for their documents.

If a large number of comments are expected and they are not time‑sensitive, you may also want to consider using a daily digest instead of individual notifications. This helps reduce the risk of users being overwhelmed by a high volume of messages.
