Best approach for right-click API call + approval UI: UIX v2 vs VAF?

Apologies if this has been asked before. I'm building an M-Files extension where users right-click an object to send its metadata and file to an external API. The API returns structured JSON that must be displayed in a UI for user approval. I'm comfortable coding but unsure whether UIX v2, VAF, or a combination is the right fit. Any recommendations or examples would be greatly appreciated
