M-Files Express Limits

What are the specific limits in M-Files Express?

1. Number of documents?
2. Size of database?
3. Metadata definition?

Anything else that is limited? I love the product but I wish it was more within the reach of the home user. M-Files is so much better than DocsVault.

Thanks,
Rob

You can compare the differences here (if the Express product is available for your area) www.m-files.com/.../compare.asp

If the product itself is not available, this link might give you the idea of the differences: www.allied-images.com/m-files-compare.htm

For more details you could contact the sales@m-files.com. They'll give you the most accurate information on the subject, I hope :)

Thanks. I saw those charts, but they just say "limited" for number of users and documents. I would like Motive to be more specific regarding the limits so we can make an educated decision about whether to go forward with the Express version. Since I am a home user, having a storage limit might drive me to another product since the license fee is too high for individuals. I have looked at other solutions, such as Docsvault, and still believe that M-Files is the best on the market without having to go to a full-blown system like Sharepoint.

I found following information from the Allied Images page (retailer of M-Files)

"M-Files Express uses the same core technology as M-Files Enterprise but limits the number of users, license types, and documents: the maximum number of concurrent users is five, and the number of documents or objects is limited to 10,000. M-Files Express does not support any other license types. Also, technical support for M-Files Express is a chargeable service, with per-incident invoicing."

But, as I said, the sales person will give you the most precise numbers for the latest version. However, I'm not sure about finding them here ::)

Thanks, Emmi. I've also queried Motive. 10,000 won't cut it for me. :P It is my hope that Motive will consider a personal or home license version.

I have a similar query. I have emailed Sales asking for a price of a single user licence but they have not replied. I do not think 10000 documents is enough but I think I probably cannot afford the licence for home use.

How much is a single user licence?

    Hi,

I have forwarded your query (from M-Files support) to our channel manager. The actual price depends on the country you reside. I will see that the sales department will contact you on Monday.

    Best Regards,
