Constant Reminders

M-Files notifications can only be dispatched once a day, here's an example on a daily reminder rule in the user guide: https://www.m-files.com/user-guide/latest/eng/example__reminder_messages_for_contracts.html

If you need more frequent reminders then this would require developing a custom extension, perhaps running as a background operation on the server. Background operations explained on the Developer Portal: https://developer.m-files.com/Frameworks/Vault-Application-Framework/Background-Operations/

I tried to set a reminder for one a day based on the property assigned too "Person's name" and I tried to set it from my m_files user account since I am the admin. But he does not get a reminder when the workflow is assigned to him. I think I am doing something wrong

Are you using the "Assign to user" or the "Create separate assignments" action in the workflow? If the former, then I think the notification filter would just be "Assigned to = <user>" since the object in the workflow contains the "Assigned to" property.

Have you checked that the user's email is registered on the user account?

Have you checked that the email does not end up in a spam filter?

You can configure the workflow aciton to send notification directly in the action pane.

Yes the email works because he gets a notification when the object is moved into the state of Approval. The problem is that he does not approve it, therefore I want to keep sending him an email at least once per day to remind him.

I think the filter should be like this:

I dont have workflow state. I have only state. I have set that to Approved. Hope that is fine. Will test it out
