Creating a view - selecting values not in first 5,000 displayed

Question

I need to create a view with a specific list of file numbers. 
 My condition is 'file number is one of'... 
 
 The problem is that most of the file numbers I need to choose are not in the first 5,000 displayed - how do I get them to display so I can select them?

Hi, 
 The desktop client only displays the first 5,000 values. You can search beyond those first 5,000 by using filters on the value list as described in the user guide: 
 Property-Based Conditions (m-files.com) . 
 If you cannot create a wildcard search to filter for all the values you want to select, it might also be possible to create the specific view you're looking for by utilizing the M-Files API: M-Files API - VaultViewOperations Object .
