Can a specific property be 'highlighted' on the metadata card?

You can't modify how the property itself looks but you might be able to do something with property groups and their theming, if that suits your needs:

This is an alternative. Maybe in the future M-Files might implement the ability to modify an property's theme! 

It's a good idea, we have an improvement idea (ID 143655) already recorded to add styling options for the property labels. I'll add a comment that there should also be a background color option.

A workaround that we have been using for quite some time now is to use an online bold text generator and copy/paste the text as the property name or set the label in the configurations editor. The property stands out just enough that it draws the user to that specific property.

I am going to add a small amount of caution...

I'm not sure that this is exactly a "designed" feature, so be aware that support in different clients (desktop, web, mobile) probably differ, and don't rely on it in production environments in case support for it disappears.

But it's a cool quirk of the current implementation which I'd never considered.  Wow.

I found that this also works very well for Views, if you want to draw attention to specified Views:

This is a nasty hack, you can even format Object Names with it or Classes BUT...

... there is a major drawback:

You cannot search for it with typing text cause it is no normal text anymore.. So don't use it for Items you need to search for later!
