Restoring document information

Hi, 

Is there a way of restoring information that was added to a document, but has then become lost?

I have already tried looking into the history of the document.

    Hi Charlotte,

    If by information you mean metadata, then that information is only stored on the server as an object version if the document was checked in at some point after adding the data. In that case the document version currently is higher than 1, and the data shall be visible in older versions shown in History. If the document never was checked in while the data was on the metadata card, then you cannot restore it. And the same goes for content in the file.
