Views - Is Grouping by Data Type - Text Properties Possible?

Is the property definition marked such that it can be used in groupings?

Yes, I have it selected as can be used in groupings. In M-Files explorer when creating views, when I click on properties and select the grouping levels I do not see the text properties in the dropdown under the folder structure. 

Have you logged out of the client completely and gone back in since you enabled grouping?

To answer your question: yes, it is absolutely possible to group by a text field provided it's configured to allow it.

I did and the reason I found this strange because one of the properties that I created was a choose from list type and I can see that one DO Event Type but the other DO properties you can see in the Admin tool. I posted the pictures below. 

Not sure what's going on but thank you for helping. 

For text properties, you need to select "Text" in the Group by selection. After that you should be able to select your text property in the Property list.
