Related objects, not refreshing when one is updated

We have two related objects. The parent (Monthly Timesheet) updates when a new child (Timesheet Record) is created or deleted but I want to be able to update the child and the parent refreshes/updates immediately when the child is saved.

I had this working via Property Calculator but since updating to 24.4.52 version of the application, I an struggling to fathom this out.

This is the current set up which works up until the Update Related Objects section

This shows the two property calculations

This is the Update Related Objects

I have tried multiple variations to this but when I update any of the four properties on the Timesheet Record, it does not update/refresh the Monthly Timesheet.

I've gone cross eyed now so would really appreciate any help.

Thanks in anticipation

  • Hi Kelly,

Your "Update Related Objects" rule is under Monthly Timesheet class, which means that rule is activated if Monthly timesheet object is modified. Try to configure it under Monthly Timesheet Record instead. That should do the trick and time sheet would get new version after record is modified.

  • Hi Juuso and thanks for your reply.

I too thought this and have tried to reconfig with TS Record and the multiple options but it still doesn't work.  I have also created another calc rule for Timesheet Record class but this errors.

I clearly doing something wrong. Are you able to give me some sort of example?

I have also tried switching the reference type to indirect
