'Add Document from PC' Option from Metadata Card

Dear Friends,

My apologies if this question has been previously resolved. My search of existing topics did not yield the desired result.

I am looking to add a document to a metadata card (as illustrated below). My question: Is it possible to 'upload' a document directly from PC from here (i.e. the document is not previously uploaded into M-Files) instead of 'creating' a new document? (see arrow).

    I don't think this is possible unfortunately. For an existing file on your computer, you need to first upload it to the vault as a new document before you can reference it on the metadata card.

    Another way to handle this would be to create a new empty document via the option illustrated in your picture and then afterwards drag-drop the file from your computer on that document.
