I have a group of users that is interested in testing the project management capabilities of Hubshare. They have a planner in Sharepoint but they asked me if it would be possible to import those tasks into Hubshare. Could we do that?
Thanks
Irene

Hello Irene,
Unfortunately I don't think you can import those projects straight to Hubshare, in my opinion, this should be imported to M-Files first, and then Hubshare will be able to display those objects and workflows on the widgets.
The project module of Hubshare will be dropped along with the standalone features in Q3, so the best practice is to go through M-Files.
I hope this answers your question.
This is very unfortunate because the M-Files functionality does not replace this feature. Even if workflows could send messages, etc there is not a good way to display tasks in a timeline or a kanban board. I wish people could reconsider. What other standard standalone features will be dropped? I ask this because I was just presenting this as a good option and this is surprising, good thing that I asked this question.
The other modules that are dropped are the Project, Calendar, Files, People
Regarding the widgets : Questionnaire, To-Do-List and the widgets related to those dropped modules

Hi Irene,
maybe consider using Kanbanoo, an M-Files addon I made specifically for managing tasks in a Kanban board. Check it out in the M-Files Catalog https://catalog.m-files.com/shop/kanbanoo/ and on our homepage https://kanbanoo.com , where you can find pricing and a trial download.
It works in the M-Files (classic) Desktop and classic web clients. Support for the "new" Desktop and web clients is coming soon.
To work with Kanbanoo you need your tasks as M-Files objects. If you need more guidance I'd be happy to have a Teams meeting with you to look at your situation.
Best Regards,
Martin
Hi Martin,
It looks amazing! I was looking for that functionality in the Hubshare environment and the reason is that the groups that will be using it are those that collaborate with people outside the organisation and do not have access to other tools such as MS Team and its planner.
But congrats for creating an amazing product!
Hi Irene,
Yes, the Kanbanoo UI is only available in the M-Files client(s) but it's based on M-Files objects and their workflows. So if you have a means to display those objects in Hubshare (in a more simple way) it would at least give access to external users.
I will check with M-Files though, whether it's possible to also have a UI extension in Hubshare.
