Dear M-Files,

Thanks for reaching out. We were weighing the possibility to continue the life of M-Color by giving out the source code for a partner to continue the development of the product. However, the more we investigated this, the more issues we found that led to the termination of those efforts. While we would be able to transfer or release the codebase developed by us, the licensed third-party components used by M-Color would require renegotiating so these plans turned out to be unfeasible.
We understand the role that M-Color has played in our customers' work, and we did not make this decision lightly. This is the reason we want to offer the free version to be used as long as it works: to give our customers as long as possible to find other ways forward.
