How to create file from template and convert it PDF?

HI 
 
 I have excel that has 1000 lines of links added from M-FIles.I have code that generates xls using that template. Excel does not have links updated until I open it. 
 How to automate that with vbscript so that links are updated and final result is pdf? This is not working

You may need a little action script using UpdateMetaDataInFile before you convert to PDF.

You can either use the API method mentioned above to target this workflow specifically or enable automatic metadata updates via Advanced Vault Settings. With the latter option this metadata update is done during every check-in for the configured file types.
