Getting Started with API

Question

Hi 
 We are looking at setting up some integration between an application we have created and M-Files (Cloud Vault). 
 We are trying to create a document in M-Files, but would like some guidance around how we make the API connection, do we need an API key etc?

Have you already checked M-Files Developer Portal ? It&rsquo;s a great resource with helpful information and examples on how to connect to a vault, create documents and other objects, and more. 
 If you need additional support, your M-Files reseller should be able to assist you further.

M-Files has two public APIs: a COM-based one and a REST-like one. Many integrations use the REST API because it has no client requirements.
