Connection Property and read metadata from xml file

If it will import with just the two properties, but won't import with other properties, then it suggests that there's an issue with those other properties you're adding (or with the processing of the object in that state). For example: perhaps these additional properties cause an event handler or workflow state action to except, which stops the document being imported.

Check the Windows Event Log to see whether there's any additional information that may help.
