M-Files Client crashes after Windows update KB5041587

I could not find any mentions of this Windows Update causing issues in our support systems yet. I recommend reporting the issue to your M-Files reseller who can liaise with M-Files Support to investigate.

The problem is solved with the new client version 24.8.13981.4.

I have some clients reporting the same issue, they are not on version 24.8.
I have had a user test with removing the KB5041587 update which seems to have stopped the intermittent crashing.
