When Creating new Object through context menu, can it autofill properties like it does for documents?

I've added you as a requestor to the improvement request mentioned in the article.

For specific use cases, one option would be to use Compliance Kit's Object Creator to automatically refer to the selected object in the new object's metadata.

This feature would also be useful for Kanbanoo users for creating sub-tasks that are not assignments. Please add me as well to this improvement request.

If you are showing the metadata card programmatically (e.g. they click a button on a task to add a sub-task) then you can provide default values for metadata, which would allow you to provide the parent...  Would that help you Martin?

Right now I'm not doing that but it sounds like it would be a good idea. Thank you for pointing that out!

Currently users have to use the built-in M-Files Create (+) button (I didn't want to replicate built-in functionality).
