Issue with Floating-Point Number Formatting

Hello,

In the latest version of the M-Files web client (observed in version 25.8), an issue has been identified with the handling of floating-point numbers. Specifically, the system automatically inserts a decimal point (.) and appends two decimal places after the first or second digit. This behavior is problematic for longer numbers, as it causes subsequent digits to be incorrectly treated as decimal values, leading to potential data misrepresentation and user inconvenience.

    The September release includes a fix related to real number fields in the new clients (M-Files Web and the new M-Files Desktop). The issue is tracked under ID CAT-443, which you’ll find referenced in the release notes. Please test after you've updated to version 25.9 to determine whether this fix addresses your specific scenario.

    In addition, the product team is exploring further improvements for other real number input cases, so additional enhancements may be introduced in future releases. I recommend keeping an eye on the release notes and testing new versions as they become available.
