Export works differently in view and search result

Something slightly confusing:

When performing a search filtering on an object type, and selecting ALT -> export, only the visible (for example, first 200 of 215 results) are exported. However, when accessing the same objects through a view, and doing the same export, all the items are exported. Why is this?

(Version 2015.3).
  • The last bit is not completely true. The default limit for exporting from a View is 500 items (as far as I recall). A higher limit can be set in Registry but this may effect performance.

    Thanks for the correction! That's important to know.

    Is there any way to get this behaviour when viewing a search result also?
