Is there a posibility to hide some state depending on property definition?

Hello, 
 I have an object, that has an integration with an external application, but that integration has to fire only when a certain PD is selected. 
 The integration fires when the WF state is changed to a specific state, but that state should appear on some conditions. 
 Is there a way to filter the Workflow States depending on the value of a PD?

 Yes, but users might still try to move the object into the state. 
 I &ldquo;fixed&rdquo; this, by create 3 states with the same name, one intermediate that will transition to the other 2 based on PD. 
 It is not elegant, but does the job.
